I come to you today as our company stands at a crossroads. At Kubrick Financial Services (KFS), we take pride in standing at the vanguard of our industry. Last year, KFS undertook a massive expansion in the 3-D printing market, previously one of KFS’ smallest segments as well as the industry’s as a whole. Today, we are aware that our competitors have lowered their standards in order to hit their market share targets. While we pursued our profit motive in the best interests of our shareholders and employees, we now realize that we must take further action in this regard. Therefore, I am submitting a plan to the Board of Directors that reinforces our previous actions. In other words, I believe we should continue to pursue the 3-D printing market in order to reach our market share by also lowering our standards while increasing our risk controls. The financial services industry is highly competitive and constantly evolving. Not long ago, terms such as collateralized debt o bligations, credit default swaps, and synthetic collateralized debt obligations would seem like a strange foreign language. But today, they have risen to become an increasingly larger share of our industry. It’s no secret that these types of financial instruments played a significant role in the financial crisis of 2008-2009. However, they are a necessary evil and must be part of any viable growth strategies in the financial services world. We must take similar risks in order to maximize our profits.
